TI PIACE FARE GIARDINAGGIO? (Do you like gardening?)
Join me for a Saturday late morning walk in Italiano through Dromana, Heronswood Gardens, & Nursery! What can you see around you? What is the weather like? Can you describe your surroundings and how they make you feel, in Italian?
In this 1.5 hour Italian WALKshop, we will wander through the Heronswood Gardens and Nursery and practice speaking together in Italian all about gardening. As we make our way through the gardens, you will be encouraged to use Italian to describe what you can see and your thoughts along the way.
This ‘walking workshop’ is intended to be a fun, active, and social language learning experience in a real-life context, where the natural environment of the Gardens serves as a prompt to talk about and describe different things in Italian that you might not usually cover in your regular learning space.
You will receive some material on useful vocabulary and phrases for the session prior to the event so you can come with an idea of what we will speak about. Being prepared will help you to feel in control and more competent once I will engage you in speaking during our walk.
But don’t worry, I (Monica) will be there to support you along the way, help all the participants learn vocabulary & practice the correct pronunciation.
This small group session is open to any Italian language level. The main focus we will have is to build up confidence when speaking and to create a relaxed and friendly environment for everyone.
The WALKshop will be led by me, Monica from Su Misura Italy.
