Join me and my friend Paola (@italyonmymind) for a special afternoon of cakes and coffee in Paola’s home in North Fitzroy - in Italian. We cannot travel to Italy, but let's pretend we are in Italy! We will be making shortcrust pastry for a rustic crostata with apricot jam (made from the trees in my backyard), then sitting back to enjoy home-made cakes and biscotti with coffee made in a stovetop percolator while having an Italian lesson with Monica. Although beginners are welcome, it is assumed you will have a basic knowledge of spoken Italian.
The class starts at 2pm and finishes at around 4pm. You will receive a take-home recipe booklet and Italian worksheets from the class. You will be able to take home some of the crostata you make too.
If there are fewer than 8 participants, classes may be cancelled and your money refunded. If you are unable to attend you can transfer your spot in the class to a friend.
When purchasing the class you will be asked for a shipping address - just enter a home or work address (I will not use it for anything, it is just how My Big Cartel works).
I will be in touch by email to give you the address in North Fitzroy and directions for the class a week beforehand. Paola and I very much look forward to cooking and speaking Italian with you!
